Charitable Giving and Clean-Up Efforts
At Uptown, we believe in making a positive impact on our local communities. This holiday season, we’re proud to share the charitable initiatives we’ve been involved in, from collecting toys for children in need to participating in a neighborhood clean-up.
Christmas Toy Drive for The Villages at Roll Hill
This month, our team came together to collect over 120 Christmas toys and gifts for children who live in The Villages at Roll Hill. The Villages at Roll Hill is home to many families, and over half of the population is under the age of 17. Unfortunately, a significant number of these children live in poverty. 74% of the residents in Roll Hill are facing financial hardships.
In light of this, our goal was to bring joy to these children during the holiday season. The gifts collected will go to children in need. We hope to brighten their day and remind them that the community stands together in support.
We are incredibly grateful to our employees who blew us away with their generosity. Thank you to Hays + Sons for partnering with us to accomplish this heartwarming goal. Your generosity has helped ensure that local children have something special to open this Christmas.
November Mt. Auburn Clean-Up
In addition to our toy drive, last month we participated in the Mt. Auburn Neighborhood Clean-Up event. A few of our dedicated employees rolled up their sleeves and took to the streets to help clean up the neighborhood. They worked hard to gather bags of litter and make sure they were properly disposed of in Uptown’s dumpsters.
Thanks to their efforts, the Mt. Auburn area looks cleaner and brighter. Our team’s commitment to making a difference was evident as they worked together to improve the appearance of the community.
