As we settle into a new school year, we wanted to take a moment to talk about the timeline of student housing and leasing practices. For those of you who moved into a new apartment this year, it might feel a bit early to start discussing your plans for next year. However, many students begin their search for next year’s housing around 10 months in advance. In fact, historically by Thanksgiving week, the number of apartments still available is reduced to half.
This early planning is a common trend in student housing, and it helps ensure that everyone has access to their preferred living arrangements. We want to make sure you’re aware of your options, even if you’re not quite ready to make a decision.
Typically, the first apartments to go are the single family homes; so if you're interested in leasing a single family home next year, we suggest you decide who you will be living with next year as soon as possible and get a tour scheduled.
Tours & leasing for student housing will begin on October 1, 2024. You can schedule tours up to two weeks in advance. Tours are generally available Monday through Friday 10 am to 6 pm; Saturdays 10 am - 4 pm; Sundays 12 pm - 4 pm.
